Professional Course

2 sessions per week over 8 weeks

This is a unique one on one course situated in the heart of one of our busy shops designed for those considering going into floristry on a professional basis. You will be allocated one of our experienced tutors to take you through each of the following workshops, which aim to give you a strong foundation on which to build your new career.

All of the basic floristry techniques are covered in the form of key gift, wedding/event and funeral designs. These are all made in Galton Flowers unique, internationally inspired style. Not only this but you will be exposed to the day to day workings of our shop and have the opportunity to observe interactions between our florists and customers and learn as much as possible about the general running of the business.

We try to be as flexible as possible and if a student has any particular designs they would like to focus on, the schedule can of course be adapted to a certain degree to suit that students needs.

At the end of the course we ask our students to come up with their own unique project to put the skills they have learned into practice and exercise their own creativity. The project can be anything at all and our tutor will be available for support and also give constructive feedback.

We also provide the opportunity of work experience for our career students, as being able to practise within the working environment is hugely valuable in developing your confidence and skills to the standard of a professional florist.
